The Unit Sports & Culture is looking for water polo trainer/coach for DSZ WAVE
The Sports & Culture at TU Delft is DSZ WAVE looking for a water polo head trainer/coach for next season.
DSZ WAVE is the student water polo, swimming and triathlon association for studying Delft. DSZ WAVE has nearly 300 members many of which can be found in the pool every week. Fun and performance go hand in hand at DSZ WAVE; they organize all sorts of activities regularly DSZ WAVE wants everyone to be welcome, so attention is paid to the beginners as well as the more experienced ones.
The water polo department consists of three men’s teams and for the first time a women’s team as well. Flagship WAVE 1 promoted to the third class League(Bond) this year. WAVE 2 plays third class district and WAVE 3, who have started last year plays in the fifth class district. The associations students are all fanatic students who all strive for a good balance between performance and conviviality. In order to perform well, they train three times a week. In addition to these sports performances attention is also paid to the sociability, as the students can be found in the bar after training and they see each other in many activities of the association.
DSZ WAVE is looking for an enthusiastic water polo trainer/coach who could train WAVE 1 and WAVE 2 for three hours a week and possibly coach them on Saturdays. Are you the person with game insight and the ability to motivate anyone? Then we are looking for you to train them.
The goal of Unit Sports & Culture is to create added value for the university as a whole by contributing to the personal development of the students, the quality of campus life and the social engagement of the TU Delft. Together with around 50 student organisations, hundreds of teachers and trainers (mainly part-time), and many other people inside and outside the university, S&C offers a varied and dynamic program in which some 13,000 students and staff participate each year.
The TU Delft is the home sponsor of DSZ WAVE and is the principal of all the trainers of the TU Delft. The accommodation and the trainers, as well as other material costs, are sponsored by TU Delft.

A work employment contract for a fixed term with employment agency Unique, on the basis of which the role as an instructor for S&C can be fulfilled. There is also a possibility to work as a self-employed contractor (zzp’er) according a set contract for deployment.
Affinity with students;
Enthusiasm, flexibility and ambition;
Understanding of, and experience in water polo;
A good command of English.
